What is Growth Predictor?
Growth Predictor is a native iOS and Android app that helps you understand recorded growth. It brings current height, height percentile, family height context, and measured growth pace into one experience.
This website explains the product and offers free informational tools. It is not a web version of the app, and it does not create an account.
How does height percentile work?
A height percentile compares a recorded height with the WHO 2007 height-for-age reference for the same age and sex. The 50th percentile is the median of that reference.
A higher or lower percentile is a comparison with the reference population. It is not a grade, a rank you need to improve, or a prediction of adult height.
What growth reference does Growth Predictor use?
Growth Predictor uses WHO 2007 height-for-age reference data for ages 5–19 and the LMS method. For height-for-age, the Box-Cox power L is 1, so the z-score is (recorded height − reference median) ÷ (median × S). The published tables run from 61 through 228 months, separately for boys and girls.
Age is the number of completed calendar months from the date of birth to the measurement date. The measurement month counts only once its day reaches the birthday day. That month selects one published row. The app and this calculator use that row as published and do not interpolate between months.
Is Growth Predictor accurate?
The percentile is a calculated reference metric. It depends on the height, age, and sex that were recorded, and on the WHO 2007 tables. A careful measurement is more useful than a rushed one.
One measurement can vary with posture, time of day, and how it was taken. Repeated measurements give a clearer picture of recorded change. The result is not a forecast of adult height and not a medical diagnosis.
Can Growth Predictor guarantee adult height?
No. Growth Predictor does not calculate a guaranteed adult height, an exact future height, or centimeters left to grow. WHO reference data describes a reference population. It does not predict one person’s final adult height.
Does Growth Predictor diagnose medical conditions?
No. Growth Predictor does not diagnose growth conditions and does not recommend treatment, hormones, or supplements. If you are concerned about growth, talk with a qualified healthcare professional.
How often should I record height?
There is no single schedule that fits everyone. Measuring in a consistent way, then repeating the measurement over time, is more informative than one reading.
Premium includes Growth Check-ins, which are reminders to measure again. That is a product reminder, not medical advice about how often to be examined.
What is growth pace?
Measured growth pace describes how recorded height changed between measurements. It is based on what was recorded. It is not a forecast of how much someone will grow next.
What is family height context?
Family height context uses family height information you choose to add, so a recorded height can be seen alongside that information. It is context. It is not a calculation of the height someone will reach as an adult.
Is Growth Predictor free?
Yes. The free Growth Outlook includes current height, height percentile, family height context, measured growth pace, basic height tracking, 3 priorities, and a basic Growth Snapshot.
Is my data private?
The website and the mobile app handle information differently. The height calculator on this website runs in your browser. It does not create an account or save a growth profile on Growth Predictor.
The mobile app can store the information you enter there, including measurements. Read the privacy draft for the current description. It still needs legal review before launch.
Is Growth Predictor available on iPhone?
